Our President - Mr. Adrian Paul Roach

I was so touched to be asked if I would consider being proposed for the position of President of the Hessle Theatre Co and was even more humbled and honoured to be voted in at this year's AGM. A complete stranger to most members I have been so warmly welcomed and look forward with great excitement to working with everybody at Hessle Theatre Co.

In the few months I've been mixing with the members of the society it is so evident the warmth and camaraderie that exists between everybody, both young and old. The passion that exists in the group is unique.

My vision for the Hessle Theatre Co is therefore to see them perform their shows to the highest standards making this company the envy of the amateur dramatic world. Helping them raise the necessary funds each year to invest in their annual productions, breaking even and enjoying peace of mind our company is solvent without compromise in any area.

Our company will hopefully act as a springboard for young budding actors and actresses who have ambitions to turn professional. Encouraging these young people to join our society it will hopefully offer great and challenging opportunities and give them a taste of what could lie ahead on stage. It is so good to see young and old enjoying a common interest. A unique blend in today's society.

As a huge fan of the Theatre I look forward to working with all members of the Company and I hope we can continue that wonderful 85 year tradition of providing challenging quality plays to entertain the people of Hull and East Riding.
